A few words about us

Oklahoma Energy Producers Alliance (OEPA) is a group of Oklahoma oil and gas companies concerned with protecting our rights as conventional vertical producers and royalty owners at the State Capitol and the Corporation Commission.

How it all came to be…

When the horizontal producers took over control of the OIPA, it became apparent that the organization we had depended upon no longer represented the “small business oil and gas producer” in Oklahoma. Seventeen board members including six former chairmen left OIPA to begin the Oklahoma energy producers Alliance (OEPA).

What is happening to vertical wells in Oklahoma

This video was created by OEPA to show what is happening to vertical/traditional wells in Oklahoma.

We have no issues with horizontal fracking; until the high volume, high pressure frack jobs break into our vertical wells. Ninety percent of the time when that happens the vertical well is lost. Seventy-five percent of the time (on average) when a horizontal well is within a quarter of a mile from a vertical well in the same production formation, the vertical well is hit by the horizontal frack job.

It’s never right to take or destroy someone else’s property.
